Cryoprecipitate Thawing

Our Cryoprecipitate thawer model CT-4T.6C thaws 12 plasma bags at a time at 6^oC  within an hour. The Factor VIII yield is increased by 40% when compared with the traditional method of thawing overnight in a refrigerator.

It has been suggested that because of the faster thawing, less protein goes back into solution and the Factor VIII yield is therefore increased.

Thawing 12 units at a time works smoothly into the workflow. By the time that the plasma is centrifuged and the Factor VIII is separated, the next batch is thawed out and ready to be centrifuged.

The unit has been beta tested, validated and is now producing product.

The CT-4T.6C is a compact tabletop system.
